PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Ganeshkhind is, run by KVS an autonomous body formed under Government of India, Ministry of Education and is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary education having a common syllabus and curriculum of studies.
The Vidyalaya a was established in 1973 as a Defence Sector School which has been housed in B type building Since 1982. The now building was inaugurated Dr. R.G Takewale, Vice Chancellor University of Pune on 17th September 1982.

From the year 1982 K.V Ganeshkhind, pune is affiliated to central Borad of Secondary education with affiliation No: 110013.
The Vidyalya is located on Vidyapeeth Road, Armament colony and is easily accessible.
PM SHRI K V Ganeshkhind was established in the year 1982 and since then the school has left no stone unturned. The Vidyalaya has excelled in the field of academics, co-curricular and sports activities. Children have won laurels for the school in Academics, Co- curricular and Sports activities.
The Vidyalaya campus covers 9 acres of space with a lush green playground. There is a separate playground for the primary children. There is also a basketball and handball ground and an open gym is also installed.
The school building is spacious with well-ventilated classrooms. It is a three sections school for classes I to X and two sections for class XI and XII with science and one section for commerce stream. The existing school building has classrooms equipped with modern technologies.
The vidyalaya is well equipped with two computer laboratory and each lab has nearly 40 computers. Children have access to internet facility too. The School has four science labs including a junior science lab. There is also a Music Room, Sports Room and Examination room. The Primary section is well equipped with LCD Projectors, OHP computer and other necessary teaching learning aids. One common staff room with all the facilities including a computer is also available. There is a fully equipped library with all the textbooks, recent books, novels, journals, magazines newspaper etc.

They are willing to accept challenges to face today’s world.
